News of former Johnners Scholars

Congratulations are due to all the Johnners Scholars from previous years who have made great progress with their cricket in 2008. Particular mention should be made of Adil Rashid (Yorkshire) and Liam Dawson (Hampshire) who have played regularly for their respective county teams this year with considerable success. Of the 2008 scholars, we have recently heard from Jaik Mickleburgh (Essex) reporting on his first class debut against Leicestershire, when he scored 60 in a winning game, and also from Joanne Cook, also of Essex, who captained the winning team in the Junior Super 4s, and played for the Essex Women’s team which gained promotion in the County Championship.
