Giving young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance

THE CENTURIONS AWARD

Have you scored a century?

Are you under 18 years old?

We want to hear all about it!

Just ask an adult - a teacher, coach, or parent - to email us with details of your century and you will receive The Lord's Taverners Centurions Award certificate!

The Lord’s Taverners Centurions Award recognises the achievement of boys and girls under the age of 18 scoring their first century in an organised club or school cricket match.

The Centurions Award is endorsed by the ten living batsmen to have scored one hundred first-class centuries:
  • Zaheer Abbas
  • Dennis Amiss
  • Geoffrey Boycott
  • John Edrich
  • Graham Gooch
  • Tom Graveney
  • Graeme Hick
  • Mark Ramprakash
  • Sir Vivian Richards
  • Glenn Turner

Applications for the Centurions Award must be made by an adult. Details of the century (player’s name and date of birth, total and date scored, club scored for/against) should be emailed to contact@lordstaverners.org

A personalised certificate will be emailed to the applicant completely free of charge and the player added to the Centurions Award Hall of Fame.

The Centurions Award was launched at the Centurions Celebratory Dinner on Monday 1 September 2008. Mark Ramprakash, the latest Centurion to score his hundredth hundred, presented the inaugural certificate to Freddie Moore-Hobbis, grandson of the late Bobby Moore, who scored 103 not out on his eleventh birthday.
