The Young Lord’s Taverners (or YLTs), whose members are aged between 18 and 35, is the youngest fundraising arm of The Lord’s Taverners and shares a similar ambition to give something back to those less fortunate through raising money at exceptional quality events, and adhering to every Taverner's motto of having fun at the same time.
Our annual social calendar is packed with a variety of fun-filled fundraising events, including:
- Annual Ball
- Beer and wine tastings
- Celebrity cricket matches
- Indoor Cricket Tournament at Lord's
Please click here for a full list of forthcoming events.
The YLTs are lucky enough to be supported by a number of high profile figures, particularly from the sporting world. Past Presidents include Will Carling, Mark Ramprakash and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, and our current President is England opening batsman Alastair Cook. Other high profile supporters include Wasps and England rugby star James Haskell, Wasps rugby player George Skivington, BBC sport pundit Manish Bhasin, Sky Sports anchorman Marcus Buckland and Bond star Colin Salmon.
The Buccaneers
True to our cricketing heritage, the YLTs have joined forces with our more senior counterparts to create The Buccaneers, our wandering cricket team. We play games in a number of beautiful venues including Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace and the Honorable Artillery Company. The Buccaneers are always on the lookout for enthusiastic cricketers to join the team. The YLTs are also looking to build partnerships with university cricket clubs and would be delighted to discuss arranging fixtures and social events with enthusiastic student captains.
