Investec, in partnership with The Lord’s Taverners and supported by the ECB, have set up the inaugural Investec Ashes 2013 Cycle Challenge.
The ride will take place between 13 and 17 July 2013 and cover 340 miles between this year’s five Investec Ashes Test Match grounds, starting at the Emirates Durham ICG and finishing at Lord’s the day before the 2nd Investec Test.
A number of high profile cricket and sporting personalities have registered for the ride, including former Ashes-winning England captain and Lord’s Taverners trustee, Mike Gatting OBE.
Places on the five-day challenge are limited to 80, with 20 day-ride places per leg.
Day 4: Nottingham to Milton Keynes (78.5 miles), Tuesday 16 July
Your challenge begins at 7.30am (for an 8am start) at The Jurys Inn in Nottingham. Here you will be introduced to your challenge leader, support team and the rest of your group and receive your introductory briefing.
Your route will see you cycle south from Nottingham, passing Melton Mowbray and Pitsford Water en route. You finish on the south side of the M1 next to Willen Lakeside Park. It is here you can celebrate in style with a glass of champagne at 5pm.

Finish venue: Holiday Inn Express Hotel, Milton Keynes, MK15 0YA
Finish time: 5pm
Registration for day riders costs £100, including race support and team shirt.
