The Lord's Taverners is both a club and a charity, incorporating The Lady Taverners and The Young Lord's Taverners. We encourage and welcome new applicants to become Taverners. There are several benefits of becoming a Member. Full Membership is open to any person who loves cricket or supports it and the established charitable aims of the Association and fulfils one or more of the following conditions of eligibility:- Direct Debit and Gift Aid Forms There are two routes to becoming a Lady Taverner: By becoming an Associate Member of The Lady Taverners. This is the normal route for those wishing to subscribe to our general aims and objectives. You need just one member to sign your application form. For £40 pa, you then receive all our mailings and are entitled to attend practically all our events. An Associate Member who has been a significant supporter of the charity, either by voluntary work in their region, by finding us sponsors, or by otherwise supporting our fundraising efforts, can then be proposed for full membership of The Lady Taverners. To become a member of The Lady Taverners implies a commitment to the Charity and its fundraising at a higher level. Direct entry is open to ladies who have demonstrated their support for The Lady Taverners through sponsorship, contacts, organisations, event prizes etc. As a member you will need to be proposed and seconded by a Lord's Taverner or a Lady Taverner who has been a member for at least one year. There is a joining fee of £40 and annual subscriptions are £55. The age range of the Young Lord's Taverners is between 18 and 30 to join, although you do not transfer to Full Membership of The Lord's Taverners or The Lady Taverners until you are 35, unless or course you want to transfer on your 30th birthday. Unlike The Lord's Taverners and The Lady Taverners membership is also mixed! Membership costs £30 per year and you need to be proposed by one existing member of the Taverners. All entrance fees and annual subscriptions are treated as donations to the charity. Provided you are a UK taxpayer and have signed our Gift Aid form we can recover tax on these donations, as you can if you are a higher rate tax payer. |
