Don't just take our word for it
I had always watched the marathon and sworn that one day I would do it- had worried though that my expectations were so high and rose tinted that the reality would not live up . I was absolutely wrong - not only did I thoroughly enjoy the race itself, but also the training, the whole experience. In particular the origination around the event itself was top notch- especially the gym, massages and,oh, such good showers!
I think that largely this was because I felt part of a team and felt supported and guided from that very first training run to walking into the Phoenix with my medal around my neck.
Amy Francis - 2013 London Marathon Team
The reason why I run for the Lord’s Taverners is because it is a fantastic charity but during the marathon Lord’s Taverners really do look after people who take part. After the event you can have a massage, a celebratory glass of champagne, you really get taken care of all the way throughout your fundraising and your training, so if you’re looking to run the marathon and have the full package I would definitely say run for the Lord’s Taverners.
Rob Ditcham- London Marathon Team Captain 2010-2015
Our 2015 London Marathon Team
We had an incredible line up of runners this year including Radio 1 DJ Greg James who pounded the streets of London for the second time. Many of our runners took on the London Marathon for the first time, however for our team captain Rob Ditcham this was his 10th for the Lord's Taverners and final one as team captain.
