The Lord’s Taverners provides specially-adapted transport to special schools catering for young people with learning and physical disabilities.
These iconic green minibuses enable the schools to engage their pupils in sporting and recreational activities and help them develop life skills such as visiting shops and interacting with people in the local community.
Most importantly, the minibuses provide transport to and from school for pupils whose families are unable to.
Since 1976 the Lord’s Taverners has put over 1,050 accessible minibuses on the road across the UK. Last year 29 schools received one of our iconic green minibuses, enabling 2,407 disabled pupils to enjoy new places and experiences. With each vehicle making an average of 760 trips each year, our minibuses created 22,040 sporting chances in 2013.
