Celebrity Chef hits Farnham to bring joy to disabled youngsters
TV chef Raymond Blanc was at his Brasserie Blanc restaurant in Farnham, Surrey, on 4 June to present a special new minibus to youngsters of Henry Tyndale School from Farnborough, Hampshire.
Henry Tyndale School is a community special school catering for approximately 120 pupils aged two to 19 years with a range of complex learning difficulties. Many of the pupils have additional needs including physical disability (25 of the current pupils are wheelchair users), language disorder or an autistic spectrum disorder.
The new 16-seat accessible minibus, costing £54,000, has been made possible thanks to Raymond Blanc’s on-going support for The Lady Taverners and the fundraising activities of his Brasserie Blanc restaurants across the UK. The new minibus will change the lives of the Henry Tyndale youngsters, enabling access to regular extra-curricular activities and increased involvement with the community.
