With the Investec Cycle Challenge just around the corner, ‘cycling’ seems to be the buzz word for Taverners at the moment. In two weeks’ time, five stalwarts set out to complete the Lands End to John O Groats cycle challenge, raising funds for The Lord’s Taverners.

Graham Sheard (aged 65), Craig Rawsthorne (aged 38), Bob Matthews (aged 58), Phil Warner and Terry Parker (aged 66) are the men who take on this classic. After driving down to Penzance on Sunday 14th July, their journey starts at Lands End on Monday 15th. They are faced with 14 days of hard riding, taking a detour to the spectacular coastal scenery of Duncansby Head before finishing at John O Groats on Sunday 28th July.

Between them, the team will have clocked up a remarkable 40,000 miles in 2013. Lands End to John O Groats has been a life-long ambition for all of the team so please support them in raising funds for The Lord’s Taverners by donating here.
