Taverners to benefit from Bopara in 2015
The Lord’s Taverners is delighted to announce that it has been named as a chosen charity for Ravi Bopara’s Benefit Year in 2015.
Bopara, 29, has spent his entire First-Class career with Essex Cricket after making his debut in 2002 whilst also making his England debut in 2007, scoring 3,739 runs and taking 54 wickets across all formats.
Ravi Bopara, said: "I'm delighted to be supporting the Lord's Taverners as one of my chosen charities for my benefit year. The work they do with disadvantaged and disabled children is something I'm really passionate about and believe all children should be given a sporting chance. I'm looking forward to helping out at some of their projects in the coming year"
Paul Robin, chief executive of the Lord’s Taverners, added: “I am delighted that Ravi has chosen the Lord’s Taverners as one of his chosen charities during his well-deserved benefit year. We have had a long association with Essex CCC and have supported many projects in the county. We shall continue to do so with Ravi’s support for which we are extremely grateful. Good luck for a fantastic year ahead Ravi from all of us at the Taverners!”
