Lord's Taverners delight the senses at Victoria School

23rd Mar 2016

Victoria School, Northfield has received a grant of £5,000 to help develop a sensory room for pupils at the site on Bell Lane. The cheque was presented by West Midlands Lords Taverners Chair James Morgan, and by Chair of the Ladies Taverners Midland region Ann Keepax. The money has been used to purchase specialist multi-sensory equipment which will aid the learning and development of many of the pupils at the school. Head of School, Caroline Lane, said “We are extremely grateful for the Lords Taverners grant which has enabled us to complete our Sensory Room. The room will allow pupils with severe disabilities to relax, engage and enjoy.” James Morgan commented, “The Lords Taverners’ mission is to help give every child, particularly those with a disability, a sporting chance. We have seen and heard today just how the money that our supporters so generously give, makes a huge difference in the lives of these children.”
