Rugby Legends Dinner
Join former All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick, former England captain Bill Beaumont, and former England Fly-Half Rob Andrew at our Rugby Legends Dinner on Wednesday 9 November.
The trio, with over 200 test caps between them, will be lining up for us at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square. After a 2-1 series win in Australia in 2013 they will be looking ahead to 2017's New Zealand tour and looking back on their own incredible careers as players.
Sean Fitzpatrick was the 871st All Black, playing 92 international tests for his country and is widely regarded as one of the greatest hookers to have played the game. He is now a very well respected TV pundit and businessman. Second row Bill Beaumont's greatest moment as England captain was winning the Grand Slam in 1980. He gained 34 caps for England and since his retirement in 1982 has stayed very much involved in Rugby Union, now chairing World Rugby. Rob Andrew's 71 England caps came at Fly-Half, most famously during the Will Carling captaincy of the late 1980s to mid 1990s. Andrew is now the RFU's Professional Rugby Director and is also famous for being a handy cricketer, making 17 first-class appearances for Cambridge University as a left-handed batsman and right arm off-break bowler.
Few are better placed than Fitzpatrick, Beaumont, and Andrew to discuss how the almost inconquerable World Champion All Blacks can be conquered in New Zealand next year.
