Joan Morecambe - Founder President 1987-1993


Joan is an original Honorary Lady Taverner and was the Founder President of The Lady Taverners from its inception in 1987. Joan is the widow of Eric Morecambe who was President of The Lord's Taverners between 1977-79.

Judith Chalmers OBE-President 1994-2000; President Emeritus 2001


Judith is best known as the presenter on travel programme, ‘Wish You Were Here…?’, however her media career has spanned many years at BBC television and radio, Thames Television and ITV. Judith was awarded the OBE in the 1994 Queen’s Birthday Honours for her services to Broadcasting and The Holiday Care Service

Rachael Heyhoe Flint MBE DL President 2001-Present


Rachael is one of England’s best ever women cricketers who averaged 45.54 with the bat. In an 11-year tenure as captain her most notable achievements were leading her country to victory in the first Women's World Cup in 1973 and being the first woman to lead a team onto Lord’s Cricket Ground in 1976 versus Australia. Rachael is among the first 10 women Honorary Life Members of the MCC after heading a nine year campaign for women’s membership. She is a director of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, Family Assurance Friendly Society and consultant to La Manga Club in SE Spain.
