Investec, in partnership with The Lord’s Taverners and supported by the ECB, have set up the inaugural Investec Ashes 2013 Cycle Challenge.
The ride will take place between 13 and 17 July 2013 and cover 340 miles between this year’s five Investec Ashes Test Match grounds, starting at the Emirates Durham ICG and finishing at Lord’s the day before the 2nd Investec Test.
A number of high profile cricket and sporting personalities have registered for the ride, including former Ashes-winning England captain and Lord’s Taverners trustee, Mike Gatting OBE.
Places on the five-day challenge are limited to 80, with 20 day-ride places per leg.
Day 1: Emirates Durham ICG to Leeming Bar (45 miles), Saturday 13 July
Day 2: Leeming Bar to Old Trafford, Manchester (86.5 miles), Sunday 14 July
Day 3: Manchester to Trent Bridge, Nottingham (74.5 miles), Monday 15 July
Day 4: Nottingham to Milton Keynes (78.5 miles), Tuesday 16 July
Day 5: Milton Keynes to Lord’s Cricket Ground (55 miles), Wednesday 17 July

Registration for the full five-day challenge costs £700, including accommodation, food, drinks, race support and team shirt.
We are challenging each five-day cyclist to raise a minimum of £1,000 for The Lord’s Taverners via a bespoke Virgin Money Giving fundraising page.
