Introducing the Sporting Chance Awards

Do you know a young person who has enjoyed a sporting year to remember, an inspiring coach, or a club or programme that has successfully used sport to improve lives?

Whether top scoring with the bat, coaching the local football team to their first junior league title or bringing communities together through teamwork, they could be in line to collect a prestigious award at Mansion House in London – all thanks to your help.

Nominations are now open for the inaugural Sporting Chance Awards, which celebrate the sporting achievements of young people and the contributions of individuals, clubs and programmes that enable young people to enjoy sport.

There are eight awards categories, including:

  • Junior of the Year
  • Community Impact
  • Team of the Year
  • Greatest Personal Development
  • Service to Sport
  • Lifetime Contribution

Full details of the awards, including categories, criteria and entry form, can be found here.

Nominations must be made online before noon on 14 August. The awards panel will meet shortly after the deadline to consider applications. Please spread the word and help make their decision as difficult as possible!

Shortlisted nominees will be notified by 28 August and invited, along with a guest, to the Sporting Chance Awards Lunch on 11 September at Mansion House in London.

Further details about the ceremony, including celebrity judges and awards presenters, will be announced closer to the event. For more information please call 020 7025 0000.
