Ladies Wimbledon Tennis Singles Finals Event at OGH Hotel
103 Ladies enjoyed Pimms on the lawn at the Old Government House Hotel followed by a lunch and afternoon scones and tea whilst watching the Ladies Wimbledon Final match between Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber.
The weather was magnificent and we were joined by ten students from Le Murier School who told us about their expedition to Wales which is a pre-Duke of Edinburgh Award week. Our special guest was Lady Kathryn Corder (wife of the Lieutenant Governor Sir Ian Corder RN), who has graciously agreed to serve as our Patron. Lady Corder very much enjoyed meeting the students who gave her a special card and presented flowers. She also spent time getting to meet Lady Members and finding out more about the good work carried out by the Taverners on the island.
