Liara
Liara is hard of hearing and struggled to fit into mainstream clubs, until she found the Super 1s programme which she has now been part of for three years.
Super 1s has helped her enormously with her confidence and has inspired her into coaching too, which ultimately led her into the Youth Ambassador programme. As well as cricket, Liara has a passion for climbing as well as a bit of surfing!
“After being a Youth Ambassador, I have learnt more social skills than I have by socialising, and having amazing experiences such as doing a panel at Lord’s which was breathtaking. Adding on to this, it has grown my confidence even further with the help of Gabby and Carrera alongside my development officer which introduced me to this. I would say this has been one of my favourite experiences and I will really recommend this if you are very into cricket and you want to do much more with it.”
