Safa
Safa has been attending Wicketz in Luton, where she has gained confidence, made new friends and developed her leadership skills. As a Youth Ambassador, she wants others to feel the same benefits.
My name is Safa, I am 14 years old, and I am currently a student in High School. Outside of my schoolwork, I have a massive passion for sports. I love spending my free time playing cricket, which keeps me active and energised. When I am not on the pitch, I enjoy spending time with my family.
I first became involved with the Lord’s Taverners through the Wicketz programme in Luton. Joining this community has been an incredible experience for me. It has helped me develop strong leadership skills, massively boosted my confidence, and given me the opportunity to meet fantastic new people. Being selected as a Youth Ambassador is an achievement I am deeply proud of.
I wanted to become a Youth Ambassador because I want to give back to the cricket community that has supported me so much. I believe that cricket should be accessible to every young person, regardless of their background. In my role as a Youth Ambassador, I hope to inspire other young people to get involved.
