Theo
Before Theo became a Wicketz participant, he had enquired about coaching opportunities at Nottinghamshire CCC. Due to his age at the time, a role at the time was not available, but since joining Wicketz he has become a Young Leader and role model for others.
I am 16 years old and have just finished my GCSE’s. I am going to college after the summer to do A-Levels.
I started playing cricket when I was 10 and love playing cricket and going to gigs. I play for Kirkby Portland Cricket Club, and I am the captain of the development squad, which plays on a Sunday. I also play for the second team.
I became involved with Lord's Taverners through Wicketz where I coach. I really enjoy this, and it has built my confidence in talking to young people, coaching skills and improved my cricket skills when I play.
I wanted to become a Youth Ambassador as it gives me the opportunity to be with other people who have the same vision, and I want to make sport easier to get involved with and show young people that there are lots of different ways to get involved and build their confidence.
