Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to all prize draws undertaken in the name of the Lord’s Taverners.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: PRIZE DRAW
By participating in the event (the “Prize Draw”), you fully agree and accept these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions (“Prize Draw T&Cs”) set out by the Lord's Taverners (the "Host").
1. PROMOTER
a) The "Promoter" and "Host" of this Prize Draw is, Lord’s Taverners, an independent charity registered in England & Wales with The Charity Commission, Charity Numbers: No. 306054 SCOTLAND No. SC046238. Registered Office: Lord’s Taverners, X+Why Fivefields, 8–10 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SW1W 0DH.
2. ELIGIBILITY
a) The Prize Draw is open to individual entrants residing in Great Britain only (which, for the avoidance of doubt, includes England, Scotland and Wales). Individuals residing in Northern Ireland are not eligible to enter. Companies / organisations are not eligible to enter.
b) Entrants must be eighteen (18) years of age or over at the time of entry. Proof of identity may be required. This must be provided on request.
c) By entering the Prize Draw, the entrant confirms that all information submitted is true, current and complete.
3. ENTERING THE PRIZE DRAW
a) Participation in the Prize Draw is voluntary.
b) The Prize Draw can be entered in the following ways:
i) Through the website(“Website”) as hosted by the Host, by buying the ticket (“Online Entry”). When submitting an Online Entry, you will be asked to provide your full name, postal address, email address, contact mobile number, country of residence; and/or
ii) For free by post (“postal entry”) by sending your full name, email address, contact mobile number, to Lord’s Taverners Prize Draw, X+Why Fivefields, 8–10 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SW1W 0DH. Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize. If the above steps are not followed as described then an postal entry will be invalid. You will not be notified if your entry is invalid. Postal entries are treated in exactly the same way as paid entries for the purposes of determining a winner.
c) The payment service provider used to process entrants' payments for the total cost of tickets purchased (Stripe Payments Europe Limited) charges the Promoter a processing fee of approximately 3% plus 20p per transaction for European cards. (Fees may be higher for non-European cards). An entrant has the option to cover this processing fee at checkout by increasing their payment by approximately 3% plus 20p, meaning the Promoter would get 100% of the entry fee. Alternatively, the Promoter will pay the processing fee if the entrant chooses not to.
d) Entrants should be aware that they may be subject to third party data charges (these are not charges from the Promoter or Host) depending on their own individual arrangements for internet access.
e) When making a donation of the relevant entry fee (as set out at 3(b)(i)) via an Online Entry, you will receive a confirmation email from the Host confirming that the donation has been made.
f) No illegible, incomplete, forged, mechanically reproduced or altered entries will be accepted. All entries become the property of the Host and/or Promoter and will not be returned.
g) The Prize Draw opens at 12:00 (GMT) on 26/06/26 (“Opening Date”). The Prize Draw closes at 12:00pm (GMT) on 03/06/26 (“Closing Date”). All Postal Entries must be received by 12:00pm (GMT) on 03/06/26 (“Closing Date”). After the Closing Date, no further entries into the Prize Draw will be permitted.
h) The Promoter and the Host accept no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason, including for entries lost, delayed or corrupted, or due to postal error in transit.
i) Multiple entries are allowed to the Prize Draw.
j) The winning entrants will be selected at random by the Host via a verifiable computerised system producing random results from all entries received by the Closing Date and the Postal Closing Date in accordance with these Prize Draw T&Cs.
k) The winners will be notified by the Host by automated email and/or text to the email address or contact number provided upon entering the Prize Draw within three (3) days of the Closing Date.
l) Reasonable efforts will then be made to contact the winners by the Promoter following this. If the winners cannot be contacted within 48 hours of being notified that they have won or if a winning entrant fails to communicate their acceptance of the Prize within 48 hours of being contacted and/or if the winner is unable to comply with these Prize Draw T&Cs, the Promoter and/or the Host each reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random and the person previously identified as the winner shall no longer be entitled to receive the prize.
m) No refunds for any reason whatsoever will be given for entries to the Prize Draw (unless the refund relates to fraudulent use of a payment card, which is verified to the Promoter by a bank or other financial institution).
4. PRIZE DRAW - PRIZES
a) The Promoter will be responsible for coordinating and sending out the Prize to the chosen winner within 5 working days of receiving confirmation from that winner that they accept the Prize they have won.
b) By accepting a Prize, each winner agrees to comply with these Prize Draw T&Cs and acknowledges that the Promoter may withdraw a Prize should they consider that a winner is not acting in accordance with them.
c) No cash alternative to the Prize will be offered. The Prize is non‐refundable and non-transferable. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of a Prize being unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
d) The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to withhold delivery of a Prize until proof of eligibility and/or proof of identity (which must be in the form of government issued photographic identification) requested by the Promoter has been confirmed. If such proof is not produced on request, the Promoter may disqualify an entrant from the Prize Draw.
e) Each winner is responsible for ensuring they are able to accept a Prize as set out in accordance with these Prize Draw T&Cs. In the event that they are unable to do so then the Promoter and Host each reserves the right to redraw a winner of the Prize.
5. PERSONAL DATA
a) By participating in the Prize Draw via the Online Entry route, you acknowledge that your name, address, email address and telephone number (“Personal Data”) will be made available to the Host (as set out above) and shared with the Promoter for the purposes of administrating this Prize Draw only.
b) By participating in the Prize Draw via the Email Entry route, you acknowledge that your Personal Data will be made available to the Promoter (as set out above) and shared with the Host for the purposes of administrating this Prize Draw only.
c) All Personal Data that will be held and/or used by the Host will be done so in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy policy, a copy of which can be found here.
d) Subject to the Winner’s express consent, the Host will announce the full name of the Winner on the Host’s website and/or social media channels. Where consent is not given, only the first name and county of the Winner will be announced.
6. GENERAL
a) Any entrant must comply with any directions given to him or her by the Host including, but not limited to, complying with any and all relevant laws, rules and regulations.
b) Any entrant who enters or attempts to enter the Prize Draw in a manner which in the Host’s determination, is contrary to these Prize Draw T&Cs or is unfair, fraudulent or unjust to other entrants or is otherwise not in the spirit of the Prize Draw (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Prize Draw, hacking, cheating, deception, or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrants or the Host and/or any of its agents or representatives), may be rejected from the Prize Draw at the Host’s discretion.
c) The Host may cancel or amend the Prize Draw, the Prizes, or these Prize Draw T&Cs without prior notice and for any reason, including (without limitation) in the case of a manifest error. Any changes will be posted within these Prize Draw T&Cs.
d) The Host cannot guarantee that the services relating to the Prize Draw will be free from errors or omissions nor that they will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. Without limiting clause 7(c), the Host reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Prize Draw is not capable of being conducted as specified in these Prize Draw T&Cs or in the event of system failure, maintenance or repair, network issue, a virus, computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality, or normal course of the Prize Draw, including, but not limited to the unavailability of the vote, poll, competition or Prize Draw entry platform before the closing date, or for strike, lock-out, labour dispute, illness, act of God, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, war, riot, civil commotion, accident, epidemic or pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood and/or storm, compliance with law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, breakdown of plant, machinery or transportation. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss or damage caused to you as a result of any of these occurrences.
e) The Host will not be liable to you for any loss that is not foreseeable, and the Host excludes its liability to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Prize Draw T&Cs shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury as a result of the Host's negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which may not be excluded by law.
f) You agree to reimburse the Host in respect of any damages suffered by the Host or any losses by the Host resulting from any claim made by a third party in each case in respect of any matter arising from your entry to the Prize Draw, your use of the services relating to the Prize Draw in breach of the Prize Draw T&Cs or from your violating of any applicable law or regulation.
g) The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Prize Draw T&Cs shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision in these Prize Draw T&Cs. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Prize Draw T&Cs shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
h) The Prize Draw and these Prize Draw T&Cs will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
