After an 18 month wait… our Marathon heroes finally get to conquer their 26.2 miles

From a team that initially assembled and was preparing for the London Marathon in April 2020, it wasn’t until Sunday 3 October (18 months later) that our team of heroes were able to complete the world’s most famous 26.2 mile run for the charity.

A combination of injuries and covid-19 related issues meant that by the time Marathon day arrived we had a team of 19 strong runners and they all did exceptionally well to continue fundraising, training and eventually take on the run itself in what has been very challenging circumstances.

Big thank you’s and congratulations are in order to the entire Marathon team, whether you were able to take on or complete the race in the end or not. Your support for the cause is invaluable and the money you’re still raising for our charitable work will go a long way to helping the young people we strive to help through our programmes.

The team have raised over £37,000 so far but you can still donate to the team following their run here.
