Schools Cricket Day is coming on Thursday 23 April
To celebrate 50 days until the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales, we are working together with the ECB to deliver a very exciting Schools Cricket Day on 23 April 2026, bringing barrier-free cricket activities to as many children as possible.
We are asking all SEND and ALN schools who have received Lord's Taverners programme delivery, to register for this amazing experience. When you register, you can indicate which offers you are interested in receiving as a school, as part of Schools Cricket Day and beyond!
The aim is to embed cricket across the curriculum throughout the day, allowing children to participate in cricket activities, learn about the tournament and inspire a love of the game. These activities could mean anything cricket related, serving up a cricket tea, using maths skills to work out wickets and runs totals, an inspirational assembly or playing a game with classmates.
There are loads of ways schools can get involved. We are working together with the ECB and your local Recreational Cricket Board to support physical delivery in schools where possible. But regardless, upon registering you will be provided with a host of exciting digital resources for schools via the online Schools Resource Hub to support with teacher-led delivery on the day, both inside and outside of the classroom, including table cricket resources for schools, as well as a lifestyle workshop delivered through cricket.
You will have access to these resources (more of which are soon to be added) as soon as you register for Schools Cricket Day!
Early registrants will receive exclusive resources and be in with the chance of accessing money-can’t-buy experiences to make the day even more memorable, so sign up now!
