Orlaith's Story
Orlaiths mum Caroline, shares what Table Cricket means to them and the impact it's had on her life.
Orlaith attends Red Boots school in Birmingham and has cerebral palsy. Like many parents of disabled children, her family worried she might miss out on the everyday experiences other young people enjoy.
Being in an environment that is purposefully designed for children like Orlaith has made a lasting impact. The focus, support and encouragement she receives help her build determination and confidence. Hearing “I can do this” doesn’t just relate to Table Cricket now - it carries into other areas of her life too.
Taking part helps develop Orlaiths motor skills, gives her the drive to try new things, and shows her what’s possible. Her determination is inspiring to those around her, and every session helps her grow in confidence and independence.
