An evening with Sir Michael Parkinson in Bristol
Throughout his 50 year career, he’s interviewed some of the biggest names in the 20th and 21st century – and Sir Michael Parkinson will be looking back on some of the highlights at The Brightside Ground, Bristol on Thursday 21 July.
An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson is a unique opportunity to get an intimate, entertaining and informative look at his remarkable journey from a Yorkshire pit village to interviewing the world’s biggest names.
The event will see the current Lord’s Taverners President in conversation with his son, Mike, and showing highlights from the Parkinson archive. Who could forget his famous knockout interviews with Muhammad Ali or more recent conversations with other sports stars including David Beckham and George Best and some of the all-time greats like John Lennon, Robert Mitchum and perhaps one of his earliest coups in getting Orson Welles on his show.
Then of course, who could forget his infamous meeting with Rod Hull and Emu. It will be a fantastic night looking back on one of the country’s most respected and best-loved broadcasters.
Tickets for the black tie event are on sale now priced £75 per person which includes dinner before the show.
A fizz reception starts at 7pm and dinner is from 8pm.
