Viking Announces Lord's Taverners as Charity Partner for 2018
Viking, the award-winning cruise line are delighted to announce that they have chosen the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, the Lord’s Taverners, as their official charity partner for 2018.
Viking will be working alongside the charity on a number of fundraising initiatives to raise vital funds to give disadvantaged and disabled young people the chance to engage in sport and recreational activities in their communities.
Wendy Atkin-Smith, Managing Director for Viking said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Lord’s Taverners charity, and to be a part of the wonderful work they do in giving young people a sporting chance. It really is a worthwhile cause in helping to offer opportunities to young people with disabilities the chance to strive in the sports they are most passionate about. Viking, will be working with the Lord’s Taverners charity to help raise funds through events, creative partnerships and internally to maximise as much support for such a deserving charity.”
Viking, has supported the previous two years at the Lady Taverners fundraising Christmas lunch, and having been inspired by the work achieved at the event and charity overall, is looking forward to being part of making a difference to support some of the most marginalised and at risk young people in the UK.
