Recently, we visited the County Ground, Beckenham for a table cricket county final, where nine teams were fighting it out to represent Kent at the forthcoming South East regional finals in May.
Whilst there, we spoke to Ben (19) from Valence School about the positive impact table cricket has had on his life, giving him friendship and a new found love of sport!
For many young people with a severe physical or learning disability, particularly wheelchair users, participating in cricket and other forms of sport is not possible. Table Cricket provides the opportunity to play in a competitive game of cricket. The emphasis is on teamwork and sportsmanship in an informal and enjoyable environment.
