Our Lord's Taverners XI are set to return to the Honourable Artillery Company Ground, London on 26 June 2025, ten years since we last played at this striking ground.

The first couple of matches staged by Lord’s Taverners teams at the venue were 7 July 1983 and 5 July 1984 for the Lord’s Taverners City Region versus Lord’s Taverners - both matches were washed out without a ball being bowled!

The next match was played on 1 July 2015 when the Lord’s Taverners hosted the Formula One Racing Drivers XI at the HAC. The Lord’s Taverners had a strong line up which included Jonnie Irwin, Martin McCague, Owais Shah, Andy Caddick, Holly Colvin, Paul Prichard the captain, Adam Hollioake, Jonathan Lewis, Devon Malcolm, Neil Burns and David Wigley. The Formula One Racing Driver’s XI included R. Plumtree, J. Tomlin, P. Rees, Stuart Alexander, S. Lewis, N. Gethin, N. Alexander, T. Gaymore, J. Alguersuari, T. Needell and Steve Alexander.
The Lord’s Taverners won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 215 for 5 declared in 20 overs. The top run scorers were Owais Shah 53, Holly Colvin 46, Martin McCague 44 and Andy Caddick 36. The pick of the bowlers for the Formula One Racing Driver’s XI was J. Tomlin with 2 wickets.
Needing 216 to win the Formula One Racing Driver’s XI won by 3 wickets scoring 216 for 7 from 19.4 overs with 2 balls to spare. N. Alexander 63, T. Gaymore 48, Stuart Alexander 38 and R.
