
AGM update
The Lord's Taverners 67th Annual General Meeting took place at Lord's Cricket Ground on Thursday 15 May at which all resolutions put forward to the membership were passed.
These resolutions were:
- Approval and adoption of the 23/24 accounts
- 185 in favour
- 1 against
- 2 abstentions
The motion required a 50% approval and was therefore passed.
- Approval of the Auditors
- 185 in favour
- 1 against
- 2 abstentions
The motion required a 50% approval and was therefore passed.
- Amends to the articles of association
- 178 in favour
- 7 against
- 7 abstentions
The motion required a 75% approval and was therefore passed.
- Removal of Proposer (bye-laws and Members Code of Conduct)
- 161 in favour
- 23 against
- 2 abstentions
The motion required a 50% approval and was therefore passed.
The morning of the AGM also saw the formal handover as Lucy Pearson as Chair of the Trustee Board with Tim Luckhurst having completed his five year term and you can read more about this here.
The meeting heard that Mike Gatting has also completed his term as a Trustee and was thanked for all his work with the recruitment process for his post ongoing - however he still intends to play an active role supporting the charity. Karen Earl, who is stepping down from her role as Chair of the Nominations Committee, was also thanked for her support and hard work having held the role since 2018. It was confirmed that Chris Donkin will be taking on the role as Chair of the Nominations Committee.
