Champions UK (plc) and Lord’s Taverners extend partnership

The Lord’s Taverners is delighted to announce that our partnership with Champions UK (plc) has been extended for a second year.

In 2018, the partnership with the leading brand agency provided much needed funds to support the work of the UK’s leading disability sports charity.

Building on the success of fundraising events last year, which included a celebrity cricket match and saw the Lord’s Taverners become the Official Farmfoods European Senior Masters Charity of choice, the partnership has gone from strength to strength.

Paul Robin, CEO of the Lord’s Taverners, said: “We’re delighted that our relationship is to continue and we’d like to thank everyone connected with Champions for their ongoing support.

“From firm foundations, the growing relationship between the Lord’s Taverners and Champions has paved the way for further collaborations to help raise much needed funds to support the work of the charity.

“Throughout the country, our programmes are breaking down barriers and empowering young people to fulfil their potential and helping to build crucial life skills. Our partnership with Champions helps us to continue that work and help lay the foundations for a positive future and build stronger communities across the UK.”

Extending beyond sourcing sponsorship for the charity, Champions have assisted in the organisation of events and provided a host of world-class rugby, golf, cricket and football speakers as well as motivational speakers to entertain Lord’s Taverners supporters and associates.

John Hayes, CEO of Champions plc (UK), said: “We are thrilled to renew our partnership with the Lord’s Taverners for another year. They are a fantastic cause who are great to work alongside and their charitable efforts cannot be understated. We are looking forward to having the Lord’s Taverners joining us at more of our events this year and hopefully we can continue our relationship long into the future.”
