Past Event

We all must have done something righteous or at least right as after a week of rain Friday 18th October was really a very pleasant day to play golf.

There was a full turnout of 21 teams who went out to play. The Berkshire course (blue) was lovely as always with quick greens and beautiful fairways. The quality of the golfers must be getting better with most teams finishing in under 4 hours and all ready for their lunch.

The Berkshire is renowned for its fabulous catering and the excellent carvery was very much enjoyed by all.

The day was hosted by Christine Langford who is not only a great teaching professional but also a very amusing speaker. She conducted the successful auction in record time and raised £3005; all together we raised a splendid £5300.

The day was won by the Blue Town team, who seem to be making a habit of this, with 86 points and were presented with Magnums of champagne from our sponsors Moet & Chandon.

Many thanks to Jackie Alliss for her great organisation and continued support of this event

Finally the Lady Taverners were delighted to present Paul Williams who is a long standing supporter and the first male Lady Taverner with a coveted Lady Taverners tie.
