The Lord’s Taverners have Christmas all wrapped up
Wales’ leading sporting charity is gearing up for a barrel of laughs with several top comedians joining them at their annual Christmas lunches. The Lord’s Taverners Wales has announced three dates for its popular Christmas Lunch events at the Cardiff Marriott Hotel - taking place on December 12, 15 and 17.
Comedian Jo Caulfield, funnyman and presenter Steve Punt, and comedian, writer and actor Hal Cruttenden will all provide entertainment at the events, which are being sponsored by Julian Hodge Bank.
The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. Money raised goes towards funding specially adapted minibuses, sports wheelchairs and cricket bags for schools. The Lord’s Taverners Wales fundraising events include an annual golf day at Royal Porthcawl.
Ed Meggitt, chairman of The Lord’s Taverners Wales, said: “Our Christmas lunches always prove hugely popular, and this year is no different. We have a great line up of comedians providing entertainment and we are certain that there will be plenty of laughs.”
Tickets for the event cost £79, which includes a drink on reception, three course meal and entertainment.
