Walliams stars at Christmas Lunch
One of the UK’s best known entertainers, David Walliams, was the star of the show at this year’s Lord’s Taverners Christmas Lunch held at the Grosvenor House, AJW Marriott Hotel on 4 December.
Walliams, best known for his role in the BBC sketch show Little Britain, was interviewed by Lord's Taverners President Sir Michael Parkinson on the day covering his time on stage and screen. He also shared what it was like to take on some remarkable challenges for charity, having swam the English Channel, the Strait of Gibraltar and the River Thames!
He shared just some of these stories with the broadcast legend at the event and helped raise an incredible £250,000 for the cause!
Walliams was joined on the day by a Sky Sports panel, consisting of David Lloyd, Paul McGinley, Henni Goya and Alan Smith who reviewed the sporting year and looked ahead to 2018.
Thanks to event sponsors Sky Sports and everyone who helped us raise such a fantastic amount of money for the charity.
