Celebrating The Lady Taverners 25th Anniversary

The Lady Taverners of Cambridgeshire Region held a special formal Dinner in July in the highly decorated Old Hall of 15th Century Queens' College, Cambridge, in celebration of the charity's 25th Anniversary, Dorothy Calder MBE (past Council member) was founder chairman of the East Anglia region 21 years ago.

Carol Robinson & Diana Moran were most informative & entertaining Guest Speakers and an exhilarating musical interlude was provided by mezzo soprano Jennifer Thompson with Jackie Kirby on the piano.

There were operatic arias & jaunty 'Songs from the Shows" as well as a surprise classical duet featuring Richard Morris (one of the many Lord's Taverners present ) who graciously joined in with gusto & gave an impressively bravura performance . This item brought the house down .

Richard remained in good voice for conducting the auction which contributed handsomely to the fundraising aspect of this memorable evening held in a singularly colourful & historic venue.
