Vote to help Super 1s receive funding

Last week it was confirmed that our application to London North Eastern Railway (LNER)’s Customer and Community Investment Fund to support our Super 1s projects in Yorkshire and Durham has been shortlisted.

To help support our work with disadvantaged and disabled young people even further, we’re asking if you can give us a few minutes of your time that could help unlock vital funding for our cricket programmes?

Projects that make it through to this shortlist are put to a public vote via a survey and from there grants will be made from the £500,000 investment fund. The projects are divided into four themes; Mental Health, Diversity and Inclusion, Education and Employability, and Environment and Sustainability, and the survey can be completed more than once.

Our Super 1s projects in Yorkshire and in Durham have made it through to the shortlist under ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ and we need your votes to help us receive some substantial funding that will make a huge difference to the lives of the disabled young people who attend those projects.

To vote for us, follow this link, select ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ on the first page, then choose ‘Lord’s Taverners: Super 1s Yorkshire and Durham’ as your first choice. Choose two more from the other worthy causes then follow the remaining instructions on screen on the second page and the third page to submit your entry.

Alternatively, watch the video below for instructions on how to vote for Super 1s in Yorkshire and Durham.

Super 1s gives young people with a disability aged 12-25 the chance to play regular, competitive cricket. By creating community cricket hubs where young people can receive coaching, we give participants the chance to compete against their peers and enjoy the benefits of playing sport.
