Lord’s Taverners programme update for November Lockdown

Following the latest UK government national Covid-19 restrictions and ECB statement, all organised recreational activity indoors and outdoors will be suspended from today (5 November) until 2 December in England.

The UK government that school sport can continue as an exemption during this period, but university sport is suspended.

What this means for our programmes is that all physical delivery for Super 1s and Wicketz in England will be suspended as of today. Our focus for these programmes will be through online engagement and delivery of online sessions.

Table Cricket can continue to be delivered where schools permit. All delivery must adhere to the latest LT Table Cricket Guidance. Where schools are not permitting delivery on site, we would encourage online delivery direct to participants and teachers where possible.

As recreational and grassroots sport continues to be debated, we wll act accordingly should there be any changes to government restrictions that allow for greater scope of delivery. As always, these measures have been taken to ensure that we were compliant with the latest government and UK guidance, ensuring the safety of our participants, delivery partners and workforce.

Online hubs

During the previous lockdown, we put a great deal of effort into providing online resources to help participants stay engaged with our programmes from the safety of their own homes. We will be utilising these again to offer fun and engaging activity to help participants through this period.

We will also deliver online sessions in place of physical sessions whenever possible.
