Antiguan legends dinners

We are delighted to be the charity partner of Antigua and Barbuda’s Tourism Authority’s upcoming dinner celebrations at Headingley cricket ground and at the Home of Cricket, Lord's.

As charity partner, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to win two tickets to each event!

Antiguan Legends Celebration at Headingley

Headingley Cricket Ground will host the Caribbean celebration with Antiguan cricketing knights Sir Viv Richards, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Sir Richie Richardson and Sir Andy Roberts.

The four West Indies legends will head to the home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club for the event hosted by BBC Radio Leeds Commentator, Jonathon Doidge, and will be celebrating the twin island nation’s rich cricketing legacy and its role as a host of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup this June.

Flying in for the evening is the acclaimed Caribbean band Spirited, featuring cricket icons Sir Richie Richardson and Sir Curtly Ambrose, to set the stage ablaze with infectious energy. Guests will also be treated to a three-course Caribbean inspired dinner, carefully curated to showcase the rich culinary heritage of the islands.

As part of the celebration, a Q&A session with the cricketing royalty will give guests an exclusive opportunity to get up close and personal with the knights, who will share insights from their illustrious careers – including special memories for Sir Richie Richardson from his time as Yorkshire CCC's overseas player.

The ‘Home of Cricket’ will play host to Antigua’s unique blend of cricket and culture featuring the return of West Indies cricketing legends who once graced the world-renowned venue: Sir Viv Richards, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Sir Richie Richardson, and Sir Andy Roberts.

These cricketing knights, alongside dignitaries will celebrate the twin island nation’s rich cricketing legacy and its role as a host of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, as well as more cricketing events throughout the year.

The black-tie gala will take place in The Thomas Lord Suite and promises to be an unforgettable showcase of the island’s cricketing prowess and vibrant culture. Guests will also be treated to a delectable three-course Caribbean inspired dinner, carefully curated to showcase the rich culinary heritage of the islands.
