Official Charity of The Davidstow National Village Cup, Lord's Taverners' aim is to boost the profile of clubs participating in the Cup, Elvaston CC will be followed until they are knocked out of the tournament or lifting the trophy at The Home of Cricket.

After another emphatic win in the last 16 of the Davidstow Village Cup, Elvaston supporters are beginning to dream of Lords and wondering if this will be the year of the elf as they are now through to the quarter finals after defeating Weekley CC.

It was yet another away day for Gaz Charlesworth's team and the Elf Army as they travelled to the picturesque setting of Weekley in the Northamptonshire countryside.

Zac Callaghan top scored with 76 as Elvaston piled up 255 in their 40 overs against hosts. Jake Harrold then took 6 wickets for 42 runs as Weekley were shot out for 130 in reply.

The next match will be a tough test against Milford Hall of the Birmingham Premier League who travel to Elvaston full of hope after they beat Clipstone Welfare yesterday.

The match will take place on Sunday 20 July at Elvaston, start time 1.30pm.
